Summary:
As the Business Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business by overseeing various business functions. You will be responsible for business, and technology vendor management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for our company, contractual documents management, coordinating company secretarial activities, managing business insurance policies, maintaining IT infrastructure and operations and supporting the management team.

 

Job Description

Lead and manage all aspects of business operations, including process improvement

Vendor Management: 

• Evaluate and select business vendors and service providers
• Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements with potential and existing vendors. 
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Company Compliance Management: 

• Ensure company compliance with cybersecurity certifications, relevant regulations and industry standards. 
• Coordinate and oversee regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with internal policies and procedures and manage and maintain remediations

Contractual Oversight: 

• Manage and review the contractual company documentation and support to various departments within the organisation. 
• Review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with the help of an outsourced legal team.
• Stay updated on legal developments relevant to the company's operations and advise senior management accordingly.

Company Secretary Functions:

• Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and statutory obligations for all of our company locations
• Maintain corporate records and ensure filings are completed accurately and on time.
• Plan and manage parallel internal projects

Business Insurance Management: 

• Evaluate the company's insurance needs and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
• Manage relationships with insurance brokers and carriers.
• Handle insurance claims and ensure timely resolution.

IT Operations: 

• Oversee the company's IT infrastructure and work with the relevant teams to provide the necessary support to the company staff.
• Work closely with the IT department for budgets and software and hardware procurements.
• Manage IT vendors and service providers.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in business operations management, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and legal principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Organisational and project management skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and IT systems.
